HP StoreVirtual 4630 B7E30A SAN Node

The HP StoreVirtual 4630 is a unique SAN designed for HP's C Class Blade Enclosures. The kit ships with an HP 4630sb ("Storage Blade") and 25-Bay D2700 disk JBOD. The storage blade has a SmartArray Mezzanine RAID controller and dual port HP FlexFabric 10Gb NIC. The blade runs HP's Lefthand OS (formerly SAN/IQ) which controls the disks in the D2700 chassis. Note that the D2700 chassis uses older style HP disks (not the Gen8 smart carriers) while the blade server does use Gen8 Smart Carriers. When ordering spare power supplies, be sure to choose the correct part number for the blade server or the D2700. Two 4630 SAN kits are recommended for deploying a highly available SAN.
